my everyday style: dressing for all weathers with my Hunter boots!

We have already gotten 30+ inches of snow here in West Michigan and then it all melted.  It is some of the craziest weather I have seen in a long time.  Which makes getting dressed each day no small feat.  Most days I'd rather just be in sweats sitting by the fire reading all day - but since I have to leave the house now and again I've been calling on my Hunter boots to get me through whatever Michigan's weather has in store.

Hunters are the best for keeping my feet dry all year long… in the winter I layer them with my warmest wool socks to keep my feet both warm and dry.  I wear these so much lately that I would really love to get another pair (red maybe? or green? or navy?)

my everyday style: the best graphic tee ever!

This is my new all time favorite graphic tee (and I admit… I have a thing for graphic tees - so that is saying something).  The best thing about graphic tees are that they are so versatile.  I wore them all spring, summer, fall and now that winter is here I just layer them up and voila! Still going strong.

my everyday style: a burgundy coat!

A few months back I took the plunge and splurged on this gorgeous burgundy coat (it's 25% off today!!!).  And boy am I glad I did… this baby is getting some serious wear already this late fall/early winter.  It's quickly become a favorite and I love how it can work dressed up with a dress or dressed down like here with leggings or with jeans.

I know we have been talking a lot about outerwear here on the blog lately (here and here) but I'm telling you, it's the only way to stylishly survive the winter - in my opinion!

I am totally hoarding holiday candles already… mmmm! I love them!  My house will smell like pine and Christmas until January for sure.

my everyday style: a plaid scarf!

Let's all face it… the plaid scarf is THE accessory of the season this year.  Am I right? (we are going to be so sick of these guys come spring) Any shape or size or color - or let me add: price point, these babies are ripe for the picking and ready to be worn!  Especially since temps in my 'hood have absolutely plummeted lately.  Here I paired it with a denim jacket (which reminds me, I should do this again… I loved the combo!) and a striped tee I bought this summer.  See how I just use and abuse my closet and bend it to my will?  Somehow a summer tee + jean jacket + plaid scarf = a late fall outfit. I like that kind of math.
