With a little dip in the temps this week I am in full on fall mode… scarves, boots, warm drinks - you name it, I'm ready for it.  Or at least I am working on prepping for it.  Here are a few things on my radar this month as fall arrives.

black midi dress, perfect with a denim or leather jacket and flats - love this!

cream saddle bag, I'm loving cream for fall and this bag is the perfect size.

'why not me?' by Mindy Kaling… I'm pretty much the biggest MK fan ever. Ever. Her new book is great!

earrings, these earrings are delicate and sweet and perfect for pairing with turtlenecks or scarves.

plaid scarf, I mean… plaid scarf. I want this one and every other one that crosses my path these days! (or less expensive option)

fur hooded coat, this coat is on my winter wish list. It's not too soon to start planning (or shopping)!

riding boots… this pair has me drooling. I mean, how gorgeous!?!? (or less expensive option)

Warby Parker + Maiyet sunglasses, I love this French partnership with Warby Parker! Aren't these stunning?

sneakers… these are giving hearts in my eyes. I'm obsessed!

These are just a few things on my radar this month…

geode necklace… I'm obsessed with geode's lately and this one is so gorgeous… (or similar less expensive)

cable knit sweater… sweaters this time of year seem to sing a siren song just for me. I want them all. I am in love with them all.  This classic beauty is no exception. (or similar less expensive)

tassel earrings… how fun are these? Plus, I am obsessed with burgundy for fall. 

grey scarf… scarf weather!?! Yes, please. I'll take that with a side of apple cider and football. (or similar less expensive)

grey jacket… this blazer/coat is perfect for fall into winter, and the price is right on this gorgeous piece!

grey handbag… this is my latest handbag obsession. It's not cheap, but boy is it pretty! (or similar less expensive)

black jeans… late last winter I became a serious black-denim-addict. I can't wait to put them back into heavy rotation again.  I love this fit… or I have this pair already and love them.

distressed frayed hem jeans (shown sold out, but similar)… I love distressed jeans (you know me!) but frayed hem denim is my newest obsession.  These are super fun! (or less expensive option that I own and love!)

leopard flats… my leopard flats have been very "loved" over the past few years, if you know what I mean. They could use some replacing. These are just gorgeous! (or a less expensive version)

on my radar… July 2015!

July is always my favorite month… with the 4th, my daughter's & I's birthdays this month and general summer fun - this month NEVER disappoints.  Once August hits I feel the looming deadline of the end of summer and start of school… but for a few more glorious days we are still in the thick of the summer  (ignorance and) bliss.

Fall style has really got to be my favorite of all the seasons so my eye does start to wander and my mind  naturally starts daydreaming about jeans and boots about this time of year. Even though with this heat we are experiencing (in the 90s for the first time in years!) it makes the idea of layering and sweaters a very distant goal.  So for now I'll live in the best of both worlds, long days spent at the pool while dreaming of fall sweaters and outfits.  With that in mind… here are a few things that are on my radar lately…

red blazers for fall… LOVE (and I'm so glad I kept this one around from two years ago) - you should snag one too!

with the start of school I can't help wanting a new pair of glasses - so nerdy of me! This pair is pretty awesome too!

irridescent jewelry is the hottest new thing (earrings & bracelet) - what do you think of this trend? I say 'yay'!

these boots! And they are totally on sale! (don't forget the Nordstrom Anniversary sale ends very soon! shop now!)

speaking of that Nordstrom sale… I got these jeans. They are simple and classic and I can't wait to wear them!

a bag with a tassel is ALWAYS a win in my book! (and you can get it monogrammed as well - score!)

on my radar/june 2015

As I sat down to think about what's been on my radar this month I was completely blown away by the fact that June is already in it's twilight. Here I am just trying to make it to the pool once in a while and the farmers market once a week and summer already feels like it's half over.  This is so sad!  So basically all that's been on my radar is the pool… haha! Unless you count making jam and pickles and hoarding farmers market goodies in general. I hate that this warm weather is so fleeing here in Michigan.

So without further ado… here's what's on my radar this June (almost July, almost summer's end, almost crying uncontrollably).

who doesn't want like 10 new pairs of sunnies this time of year? I love how these classic tortoise frames have a slight pink reflection to the lens.  So classic and trendy together.

a little sunnies/kissy-lips clutch action? yes ma'am!  how adorable is this clutch? and it's perfect for putting your phone and popsicle money in for the pool. on a budget? This little clutch is perfectly practical and affordable!

need a good pool read? you can gulp down Bittersweet in a few sittings or like I did, drag it out for a week because you just DON'T want it to end it's so good. It's a page-turner and oh so summery and quite suspenseful as well. 

this chambray jumpsuit is, you guessed it, perfect for the pool. But seriously, you could pair this with a denim jacket or cardigan for around town or even a black blazer for a casual (albeit, very casual) day in the office. Or, ohhhh! Date night! Bonus, it's under $30!

I am loving the new "dew skin tinted moisturizer" from Beautycounter… it's super glowy with great coverage and also has SPF, for - duh - the pool! This is the perfect summer foundation; it's so light and fresh feeling!

Sugar lip products are my favorite… this fun red is light enough for summer, but revved up enough for fun! Bonus, Sugar lips are always SPF 15 and it's hard to find a functional AND pretty SPF for lips (Which is always the first thing that gets burned on me! Maybe you too?)

I'm really digging a lighter and fresher alternative to clunky beach towels these days… These Turkish Towels are awesome for the beach or pool and way easier to wash and dry after a day in the sun because they are so lightweight.

Fringed sandals. Gimme, gimme. I'm all about these and how fun is this tomato red??

Just a few things that have been on my radar these days…

New "dew" skin tinted moisturizer from Beautycounter… you know I swear by Beautycounter! This new tinted moisturizer has an SPF of 20 - just in time for summer!  Love!

Cabana pants… I love these, I would wear these ALL summer.  So perfect for hanging out at the pool or beach or just in the back yard.  

Tasseled swim cover-up… as you can see, my mind is a one track mind for the pool and beach these days. I just snagged this cover-up on super sale and I can't wait to wear it all summer!

Summer Essie collection… these colors are great inspiration for summer.  I can't wait to get my hands on a few of these for summer mani/pedis!

Petite split ring… I have been wearing this constantly, it's so delicate and tiny - the perfect little summer bauble!

these scalloped pumps… obsessed.  The only question in the color… nude, blue or black.  I love the practical heel and that these would look great with jeans/tanks and summer dresses.

THE summer bag… how fun is this bag for summer? The colors are absolute perfection.

Just a few things that have been catching my eye lately…

I am majorly crushing on these sunglasses. The have major Holly Golightly vibes.

I just snagged this sun hat for under $15… I have a feeling it's going to get worn a lot this summer.  I love how big and floppy and incognito it is… no makeup needed!

This "oui" clutch is my newest blogger obsession. Oui, oui, oui!!!

A classic safari style shirt seems like the perfect spring top… this with jeans, white jeans, shorts or skirts this summer would be the perfect breezy look. 

I've been obsessed with Alex + Ani for a while now and just added this peacock feather bracelet to my stack. I'm in love with it!

Wrap/cross/X sandals… whatever you want to call them they are the hottest shoe for spring.  These gold wrap sandals are giving my hearts in my eyes.  Or find a similar option for a steal here!

I've mentioned before I am working on making beauty and household decisions that are less toxic for our family. I'm officially OBSESSED with The Honest Co.  I've tried a bunch of their cleaning and body products and love them all… but this organic body oil takes the cake.  Their lines are targeted at children and babies but this oil is great for moms (or any one) too! I mix it with my lotion each morning for spa-like skin everyday. 

I feel like I keep gushing over Old Navy lately, but seriously, their spring clothes are SO cute! I love just ordered this little sleeveless shirt dress, and I can't wait to wear it!

(ps, on another note… a few of you have been asking where "the damage" post was at the end of March. I am going to take some time off from posting those for now. I know a lot of you love them and will be sad to see them go, so I thought I should let you know!)

on my radar: march!

March is a tricky month because we are all so ready for spring… but the weather sure takes it's time!  We've had days in the 60s and days in the 30s and everywhere in between.  It's easy to go overboard getting excited for spring weather and clothes… but the reality is that we still need some layers and warmer clothes for those chilly days.  So it's kind of an in-between month for shopping.

Here are a few things that are on my radar this month even though it's a tween-er month...

Pink Gingham Top, pink is really catching my eye lately - I actually think it does every spring! - and this sweet gingham top would be perfect for warmer days or for wearing with light spring layers.

Gorjana bar earrings, these are my new favorite earrings. I wear them almost every day. Downing Tote, I have seriously been eyeing this tote for ages. I needed a new tote that is suitable for everything from carrying my laptop to day trips to a travel carry-on.  I finally purchased it and LOVE it. It is the perfect size tote for everything… it's going to be a workhorse for me this spring and summer, I can tell already.

Alexa Chung for AG, I thought by now I would be done with the distressed denim trend. But I can't quit it. These Alexa Chung for AG skinny jeans are pure perfection.  They are on my wish list for sure.

Beautycounter Blush in Tawny/Whisper, this is my new spring blush… it's the perfect combo of blush/bronzer to give my face new life for spring!  Plus, it's one of the cleanest blushes out there… if you are worried about chemicals in your personal care and cosmetic products I can't recommend Beautycounter enough.

Linen Miracle Tee, another wish-list item for me is this simple but gorgeous linen tee. It's so simple and I love that it's sort of a tank and sort of a tee and drapes perfectly.

Tassel Sandals, THESE are everything for spring. I am swooning over these tassel sandals right now… so fun and laid back. They would be perfect with dresses, shorts or even jeans this spring.

Love is in the air this time of year! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays of the year… all the pink and red and hearts and love and glossy lips and sweet little nothings- what's not to love!?!?

Here are a few things on my radar this month… Valentine's style!

criss-cross ring… This double layer ring is my new favorite style, it's so delicate and beautiful and perfect for spring!

heart scarf… I love this classic silk scarf with hearts printed on it. It's so beautiful and would be a gorgeous gift for any sweet lady! (yourself included, wink wink!)

pointed flats (or similar)… These shoes are the boss. Are they not? Plus, they are on sale!

drapey red sweater… I love an oversized sweater these days… this bright red one with skinny jeans and black pumps would be the perfect valentines date night look.

patch jeans… I am insanely obsessed with these jeans.  J.Crew jeans don't usually fit me - but I'm going to give these the old college try.

beautycounter lip & sugar paper notecard set… This adorable set is so perfect for February!  It's the perfect lip combo with a few notecards to make sure you spread the love this month.

eberjey bralette… I have this bra in nude and love it, the black one is on my wish list!

I am totally hoarding holiday candles already… mmmm! I love them!  My house will smell like pine and Christmas until January for sure.

I also happen to be hoarding sweaters too… isn't this big chunky one gorgeous!?! And it's 25% off!

I can't get over bucket bags lately… isn't this moody olive green one so cool? This one is 25% off too!

Have you seen this horseshoe bracelet? Love.  It's so unique and fun!

These pj pants are the cats pajamas.  I have a few pair of these from last year and I will certainly be adding a few more to my cozy collection this year. They are so comfy and the price is right! Also an additional 25% off!

Who's excited!?!? Fall items are hitting the shelves at your favorite retailers and I'm giddy at the thought of it.  I plan on doing my usual seasonal posts featuring the best of the season and the must-haves but in the meantime… here are a few things that have already caught my eye.

leather bag: this bag is gorgeous and also comes in navy (!!) and the price, well, it can't be beat.

orsay flats: J.Crew finally is jumping on the bandwagon with this style and of course, it's beautifully executed.

j'adore tee: you have to check out these graphic tees from Old Navy - spot on for style and price!

surplus coat: this coat is gorgeous. I have an ongoing affair with army style jackets and since I already own two, I probably don't need another… but this one. Love it.

mixed media sweater: I don't want to think about sweater season, but at the same time this sweater is making me very excited for it. Part sweater, part oxford. My kind of sweater!

black grey skinny jeans: I'm not much of a black jean gal - but I'm kind of craving a pair for this fall. Are you a fan of the grey/black jean? 

track pants: hello comfort and style! If 'they' say cozy pants are in style, who's to argue right? Can you see yourself wearing this trend this fall? I may have to try it.

gorjana necklace: I'm having a moment with delicate jewelry lately. They are so fun to wear and layer. Rocks Box successfully got me hooked on Gorjana.  Eek! They are a touch on the pricey side but so so gorgeous!
