8 easy ways to wear white this summer!

Without a doubt, when summer rolls around I am most excited about breaking out my white clothing.  That is not likely news to you if you've been around here for a while… you've seen me wear white and listened to me wax poetic about it.  White jeans, white skirts, white tops, white shorts, white on white… you get the picture. 

What I love most about white is that it's a neutral - so it mixes and matches with pretty much anything in your wardrobe like brights, pastels, and other neutrals - but it's also adds a super fresh and bright feel to any look.  Swap out black, brown, grey or jewel tones from the fall and winter with a white top or bottom and you have an instant summer look.   Here I pulled together 8 easy ways to wear white this summer… I hope you enjoy them!

It's no surprise WHY these 9 for 9 posts are always well received.  We all want to simplify, we all want to make getting dressed fun and easy, we all want to look and feel our best… and I would bet that for most of us we don't have a ton of time or money to make these things happen.  My 9 pieces | 9 outfits posts pull together what we all desire most for our wardrobes. When pulling together a seasonal wardrobe (or even packing list for a trip) that mixes and matches easily the key is to choose a tight but flexible color scheme. For today's summer version I chose chambray, white and a pop of color as the basis of the looks (you could swap this yellow skirt for pink, red or green if you aren't into yellow).  The color scheme is tight blue/white/yellow but also flexible in that these colors got well with a multitude of other colors or pieces you always have in your wardrobe. You won't ever get stuck making outfits when you have plenty of neutral and flexible pieces on hand. Then adding in simple and beautiful accessories to pull the looks together is the final piece of the puzzle. Always have on hand some beautiful shoes, handbags and jewelry to make the looks come to life!

Just a few things that have been on my radar these days…

New "dew" skin tinted moisturizer from Beautycounter… you know I swear by Beautycounter! This new tinted moisturizer has an SPF of 20 - just in time for summer!  Love!

Cabana pants… I love these, I would wear these ALL summer.  So perfect for hanging out at the pool or beach or just in the back yard.  

Tasseled swim cover-up… as you can see, my mind is a one track mind for the pool and beach these days. I just snagged this cover-up on super sale and I can't wait to wear it all summer!

Summer Essie collection… these colors are great inspiration for summer.  I can't wait to get my hands on a few of these for summer mani/pedis!

Petite split ring… I have been wearing this constantly, it's so delicate and tiny - the perfect little summer bauble!

these scalloped pumps… obsessed.  The only question in the color… nude, blue or black.  I love the practical heel and that these would look great with jeans/tanks and summer dresses.

I hope you are enjoying your long weekend… I have been kicking back and relaxing and spending time with my family and it has been a welcome break from my everyday responsibilities.   I'm pretty darn excited about the start of summer… I can't wait to really break out my summer wardrobe and start enjoying more relaxed days with my kids on the regular.
